On behalf of the Annual Session Council and TDA Staff, welcome to the 2014 TEXAS Meeting, 144th Annual Session of the Texas Dental Association website. Let me extend a personal invitation to all dental professionals to attend our annual conference, one of the premier dental meetings in the United States. As you peruse our website you will find information about education, exhibits, social events, travel and much more. Also, be on the lookout for our redesigned and expanded Texas Meeting mobile application coming in February 2014.
The 2014 TEXAS Meeting continues to build on the highly acclaimed educational programs and exhibits of past years. With over 85 speakers and close to 200 courses to choose from, including 50 workshops, there is something for everyone. Begin your tour by scrolling through the education section to view a wide range of course topics from anesthesia, esthetics, hygiene, implants, nutrition, practice management and more presented by leading experts in their fields such as Behrendt, Brucia, Christensen, Christopher, Coluzzi, Ditolla, Fling, Hyman, Huffines, Massad, McLaren, Meinz, Rothman, Young, Yu, and others. It doesn’t get better than this. Your challenge will be choosing which courses to attend during the three-day conference. Registration for the meeting will open January 2, 2014.
Be sure to allow plenty of time to visit the recently redesigned exhibit hall where over 350 exhibitors will help you discover the latest innovations in dental techniques, products and technology. Representatives from TDA Smiles Foundation, DENPAC Silent Auction and the TDA Perks Program Partners will also be in the hall. To end the day on Thursday and Friday, enjoy our exhibit hall happy hour where you can meet your staff and friends.
Exciting social events add to your TEXAS Meeting experience. Look for the schedule of major events listing alumni reunions, breakfast events, receptions, and concurrent meetings going on during the annual session. You won’t want to miss the TDA Perks Presents: The TEXAS Party on Thursday evening in bridge hall, offering complimentary food and beverages along with interactive activities and a high energy DJ.
San Antonio has much to offer from excellent hotels to exciting tourist spots. View the travel section offering 14 hotel options in the TDA block. All hotels are located in the downtown area, and many along the beautiful Riverwalk. We are excited to partner with the Grand Hyatt San Antonio as the headquarters hotel for 2014. Housing will be available starting December 1, 2013.
Education is the foundation of dentistry. Continuing your education is critical to your practice and patients’ well being. We encourage you to plan ahead and secure your program tickets online. Come to San Antonio, bring your staff, and stay connected with your profession.
See you in May!
